Sometimes, all it takes is a single step.

At the start of 2025, I set my intention to embrace Confidence, Curiosity, and Creativity in every aspect of my life—both in how I navigate MS and cancer and how I grow my business, Hurdle2Hope

I had no idea how quickly those intentions would manifest.

A few weeks ago, I stumbled upon an opportunity: Australian Healthcare Week (AHW), the biggest healthcare event in the Southern Hemisphere. It felt too late to get involved, but curiosity got the better of me. So, I downloaded this information and provided my contact details.

Australian Healthcare Week & The Start-Up Zone

I’m beyond excited to share that I’ve been invited to be part of the Start-Up Zone at Australian Healthcare Week! 🚀

Taking place on March 19-20 at the International Convention Centre in Sydney, this event is where visionaries, disruptors, and innovators come together to reshape the future of healthcare.

In their own words:

"The Start-Up Zone at Australian Healthcare Week is your gateway to a world of opportunity. This is where visionaries, disruptors, and innovators converge to reshape the future of healthcare. If you're a Start-Up with a passion for healthcare, this is your place to shine."

This is exactly why I created Hurdle2Hope—to bring fresh ideas and real solutions to the challenges faced by both patients and healthcare professionals.

Why Supporting Healthcare Professionals Matters

For so long, my focus has been on helping people navigate illness with a healing mindset—but the more I worked with the healthcare sector, the more I realized another layer of support was needed.

Burnout among healthcare professionals is at an all-time high. And the reality is, when the people caring for us are overwhelmed and exhausted, patient care suffers.

The Hurdle2Hope® Roadmap isn’t just about people living with chronic illness—it’s about empowering the people who support us. If we can help healthcare professionals manage stress, avoid burnout, and take care of their own wellbeing, then everyone benefits.

That’s what I’ll be showcasing at Australian Healthcare Week, and I couldn’t be more excited.

And Here’s the Best Part…

Final Thoughts: Take the First Step

If I’ve learned anything from this experience, it’s that momentum starts with action.

I had no guarantee this opportunity would happen, but I leaned into confidence to put myself forward, curiosity to explore possibilities, and creativity to adapt and see where it led.

So here’s my challenge to you—

Where in your life or business can you take the first step?

You never know where it might lead.

Transcript Episode 55 Part 2: [Update] Australian Healthcare Week

Teisha Rose: [00:00:00] Hey there, Teisha here and this is a new experience. I'm recording part two of episode 55 on Wellbeing Interrupted. Um, and I haven't done this before but I was so excited and I thought I'm going to hop on here and let you know as a follow up from episode 55. So Episode 55, if you haven't listened to it, have a listen.

It's all about the three C's that I'm bringing in to 2025. Confidence, Curiosity, and and Creativity. And I talked about that in relation to living with a health condition, how we can become more confident, curious and creative in using our mindset to pivot to live well with a health condition. But what I also shared to give you a bit of a background look into my business Hurdle2Hope, how I want [00:01:00] to bring those exact same three words to my business and that's the intention I set and I've had such exciting news that I wanted to come and share because there is on the 19th and 20th of March in Sydney Australian Healthcare Week and I thought just be a bit curious.

I'll download what that's about. I thought it's too close to the event So I probably nothing will happen there. Just filled in my details and Last week I got email from contact, um, with someone from organising the event and was asked to be part of the Startup Zone at the Healthcare Week. And this Healthcare Week is huge.

It's at the International Convention Centre at Darling Harbour. in Sydney and the Startup Zone. [00:02:00] This is why I'm excited because this is where, in their words, visionaries, disruptors and innovators converge to reshape the future of health care. So, as a startup,

 they say

if you're passionate about health care, Then this is your place to shine, and I'm so excited about that for a number of reasons.

Firstly, Andrew and I can do a bit of a road trip to Sydney. So out of the van, we'll have to work out what to do with the dogs, but out of the van and into Sydney, so that's exciting. But I've had this vision. I've created this Hurdle2Hope road map And I know it's helped me so much and it's there to help others living with a health condition.

But I also knew when I was more creative over the Christmas break that this roadmap can help health care practitioners, disability workers in [00:03:00] being more proactive about their own well being. And ultimately, when we're all in sync, When we're all following this roadmap, when we know what to do when a crisis hits, when turmoil hits, when we're in a growth zone, and all the mindset shifts that come with those three areas, then we, as people living with health conditions, that means an improved quality care for us.

But it also helps to support the healthcare practitioners that are doing so much for our well being.

So, this isn't, as always, all about me, um, but I really want to highlight, , just in this week, just by taking the step to use my mindset, I've had an impact on my experience. And I did this living with health conditions, you know, we're sitting here on [00:04:00] 100 acres of land, And I'm so happy where we are, but I had to have confidence and curiosity to even start having this happen in our lives.

And that's exactly the same with what I want to do with my business. I want to have confidence that this roadmap will help so many people and I want to have curiosity. What does it matter if I put in an application somewhere and I get rejected? What does it matter if I go somewhere and the messaging is not quite aligned?

I just want to be curious because then we can adapt with our creativity, then we can go down a different path. But we need to have the confidence to take that first step and this is what's happening in Sydney next month. This is a sign for all of us to have the confidence to make [00:05:00] changes in our lives and to make decisions that you think are a bit out of your comfort zone but they're actually happening.

Impact they'll have on you moving forward is exciting.

So I might as well plug the event , but it's the Australian Healthcare Week, 19th to 20th of March. So if you are a healthcare practitioner listening to the podcast, living in Australia, good news is I've got a few free tickets that I can give away and I'll put the link in the show notes or DM me at Hurdle to Hope.

Also on in on, sorry, LinkedIn, Teisha Rose, um, and. Yeah, it's incredible. It's, uh, I mean, they talk about it being the biggest healthcare exhibition in the Southern Hemisphere, and it really focuses on innovations and advancements across the entire healthcare spectrum. And that includes, you know, [00:06:00] digital health, aged care, nursing and patient experiences, and just the fact that, , the interest is there for how to

address healthcare practitioner burnout and make sure our experiences as patients are maximised and improved from even that decision. I know that this will be an incredible event with so many ideas and I think that's so exciting and needed in the healthcare sector. Um, so yeah, as I said, I've got some free tickets.

Please reach out if you want to, because I'm also there to meet people, and go through what I'm doing. So yeah, go to the show notes and see the links there.

please stay tuned. Take this as a sign today. You know how I talk about signs around you and being aware of messages? to make sure you're on the right path. This [00:07:00] might be your sign when you're listening to this is that 2025 is going to be a great year. Have confidence in what you went through in 2024 that you can bring all of those learnings to whatever you face this year.

Be curious, don't be afraid to step outside your comfort zone and see what happens and then be creative. We have to be creative whether it's in relation to business or our personal life. We have to think outside the square to ensure that what we're doing is best for our health and well being, enables us to be on the path that we're meant to be on.

So I'm so excited and I wanted to share that with you. Don't forget to have a look at the show notes. If you are a healthcare practitioner, I'll put a link in so you can register [00:08:00] and receive free tickets, which is a bit of a bonus. Um, but I'd love to, as I said, meet you in person and have a chat about how we can work together and how the hurdle to hope roadmap.

can really help your staff with burnout but also you personally with burnout if you're an individual practitioner and I'll be running courses for that as well. So everyone have a great week and I'll be speaking to you very soon in a couple of days. Our new episode 56 will be dropping which is another Hurdle2Hope story.

Chat soon!
